Default '64 tail light lens screws

Replacing the tail light lens with repops on a '64 Lemans. Car has been apart for awhile and I can't find the original screws. Generic #6 screw is too small and #8 will work but clearly will crack the lens along the length of the screw. Most vendors seem to sell generic screws, not sure what size. One vendor shows screws, o-rings and some sort of inserts. See picture. Can anyone tell me what is right here

My original screws are similar to those in the pic and the ones Ames sells, L142D. However, mine have a self-tapping flute. I'll dig them out tomorrow to measure and attach a pic.
