Mount adapters are required.

thats what i have with a 68 block
worked nice
i bought another kit, but it did not fit
i also bought butlers one piece kit, but have not put them in yet
but seems like it would fit, that one is sorta a cleaner one piece look, compared to the adaptor shown above.

the kit that didn't fit, there was something in the directions that said may not fit certain blocks????? it's been a while and i believe i bought it from Ames, and it was not cheap

that is the set i have but have not installed it yet
mine came with the long bolt that was needed, its rather lengthy and not easy to find unless you have a good hardware store nearby
just make sure it has the long bolts and nylon nuts

Those things worth anything "used"?

Father-In-Law bought a '77 Firebird T/A with an old 400 in it. Had those mounts on it; and an aftermarket intake manifold with Carter CARbureTER. The shaker scoop was worn at the back from where it contacted the hood. I don't know if the engine was too high, or the manifold/carb caused problems, or some combination. I replaced the engine with one that actually fit, used an OEM manifold, and Q-jet, and gained clearance to the rear edge of the hood opening.
