Default Top Gear Argentina Rioting

I was enjoying the latest episode/adventure until quite a large group of cave dwellers acted up over the crew and of all things, a number plate that came with the 928 Porsche.

They ended up abandoning the 3 cars and fleeing to Chile. I shudder to think of the fate those cars faced. I would have loved to have been able to grab that Lotus V-8 car. Those torch and pitchfork morons probably burned them to the ground.

Meaning....you were there in person? and saw this happen?

Or - you were watching it on TV and they showed the demonstration?

I watched part 1 last week and then again last night. I then watched part 2 and all seemed well until close to the end.....then it suddenly got serious. Initially I wanted to think it was simply Top Gear doing what they do best but quickly realized this was serious stuff. My guess is that whomever got the cars didn't get a whole lot. They used those cars up pretty badly. I was AMAZED at the size of the crew that Top Gear films with. HUGE. I wonder if the Top Gear producers really thought that a few dozen Brits showing up in Argentina wouldn't make a splash with the locals who had been around during the Falklands War?

Great episode of a great series.

This happened several months ago and was a bit of a international incident.
I have seen pic's of the cars...battered but a bit OK. They were showing the tag # to the press.
I am still not clear on what the tag numbers implied....obviously the sunken navy ship. But not clear how.
On another note: Argentina looks pretty cool. I enjoy that show. Was looking forward to it.
