Door hinge pin kit parts question
I just removed the doors on my 78 Trans Am to replace the door hinge pins and bushings. The kit I have contains 4 pins, 8 bronze bushings, and 2 larger gold-colored bushings with splines. I'm trying to figure out what the splined bushings are for. Any ideas?

They get pressed/tapped into 1 of the hinges I believe.

The splined bushings are a larger outside diameter than the other bronze bushings, and they are for the upper right and left hinges. Only one of the holes on the upper door hinge is the larger diameter, so that is why there are only two of the larger bushings. I can't remember if it is the upper or lower hole, but just measure both of them and it should become clear which one is the larger of the two.

Well, I guess you learn something every day. I thought they were oversized to make up for a wallowed out hole.
