Default Plastic Fading / Refurb

The OEM fan shroud on my 69 project is in good shape except for some non-uniform color fading. I've cleaned them with soap and water and tried simple things like ArmorAll without much luck. Is there some sort of buffing compound that helps? Or, is there a plastic coating available to restore the original look? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried any of the Trim detailing that Mothers or Mcguiers Sells?

I was at an Ace hardware the other day, they had some plastic polish compound in a stick for a buffing wheel.

Check out Adamspolishes.com and take a look at some of their products. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Default Plastic coating response

You might try Varibond at www.Parasolinc.com. They have some really cool stuff that I have tried. They have plastic coatings that bond into the plastic; therefore, they do not chip or peel.
