Question Spark Plug ??

I'm having a disagreement with a buddy.

1968 #16 heads do they use tapered or gasket type plugs?

What (NGK) heat range would be best for a 9.5:1 engine. 5? 6? 7?

Thanks

68 #16's will use the large 13/16 gasketed plug.

Like an R44S for example, or an Autolite 85 or NGK XR5.
