Default Need help with Ram Air Exhaust Manifolds

I am purchasing what I believe are a set of new, unused, RARE exhaust manifolds. I need to positively ID them.

Is there a way to ID one manufactures manifolds from another?
Was there ever a bad run from any manufacturer?
The seller sourced them via Ebay

I will post the pics soon.

The RARE manifolds I purchased new from RARE have a date code hidden on the backside of each manifold that show when they were cast new. There may also be a foundry marking.

I can't tell you if the others have the same date code. What about calling RARE and asking for his advice? I believe it's a one-man operation.

Talked to Paul today, sent him pictures and he I'd them as his product, and their application.
Was late in the day, very close to closing time, but he took the time to help me.

Where exactly was date code on yours?

How is it interpreted.

Good stuff.

Thanks!

Did it look like this?
