Default 67 GTO Windshield

Looking to get a new one for my 67 as the old (previously changed one) is pretty scratched up. This car came with tinted glass. Here is the question: Looking at new windshield pictures they all seem to have the green tint with a darker blue strip that runs along the top. Is this correct? I don't have an original to compare it to.

My local glass shop had the shade/tint band across the top for $150 or they could get a full clear or full tinted for $400+
Guess which on I have

Is the full tinted one correct???? Like you found out, the ones with the band at the top can be had all day for $150.

They either came Full clear or tinted (SOFT RAY) from the factory.
99% sure they didn't offer a band for 66-67
But a large % of restored cars now have them, I do and it looks fine.
My car was clear but I like the shade/band so don't mind it not being correct.

You really don't even notice it once installed.

I figured that was the case. I'm not really hung up on it being correct (much of my car is not). If there wasn't much of a price difference I'd go with an original type but doesn't seem like it would be worth the surcharge unless doing a concours restoration.

Yes they did. Picture below shows my car less than one week old. The band at the top was there.

Thumbs up Well there you have it.

You just had to be that 1%

Anyone have any Factory/Dealer breakdowns on Glass offerings?

Smile I FEEL BETTER...

...Knowing my car is a bit more correct.
OG, Thanks for the insight.
I have looked at and had these images of NEW '66 Pontiac owners for awhile now and NEVER took notice of the Shade Band

Im still looking through my files for Glass option/breakdown.
