If it was a 4-speed car it would have been more intriguing, but I agree not a terrible buy. It is a 455 Admiralty blue with a red interior, which is very cool to me, but I'ma sucker for red interiors. Green and red draw very hard opinions, just like convertible vs. hardtop. If I owned this car I'd put a 73 nose, valance and paint it whatever your favorite 70-73 color is. I'm turning my 80 T/A into a 71 Lucy blue clone with the stripe. It does have t-tops, which are a giveaway, but I don't care. This is a hardtop. Really cool car.

The metalwork changing the rear is quite involved.

Agreed. Not a pure clone, but an 80 turbo T/A red interior (with T-tops WS6) rear and a 72 front end. I have all the stuff and a lot of it is NOS or mint original. I realize it's sacrilege and this "freak" should be stoned to death,... meh. It'll look so cool. Contemplating painting it 1980 T/A maroon with the reddish chicken. ...someday?

I wouldn't change a thing except the red interior...lol...different strokes ✌

Changing the rear tin was not as difficult as it looks - easier than swapping in replacement quarters I thought. |

That, and Gateway and the like are asking ridiculous sums.

Here's a fun odd duck. A one of 215 69 GTO convertible in Warwick blue with a blue top at $70K in Florida. Looks about as original as possible, but it's rare for the wrong reason... originally a 2bbl GTO. This kind of car is too nice for me. I would not drive this car if I had it. What fun is that? I do love the 8-track.

To each his own I guess but not for me. I'll admit the interior is nice.
