i tested my 71 ys 400 compression today.
3 tries.numbers were about 150 on all cyls, two in the back went to 160. 80,000 miles. sound about right? what were they when new; and how low do they go? |

you are good. we should all be that lucky. as far as i know its the variance between cylinders that is an issue. i would think over time the numbers would actually go up on a good sealing engine because of carbon deposits over time......

That sounds fine, put the v8 version of the product restore in with the oil and you will see those numbers go up!

Awesome. I like to keep cranking compression under 165 for pump gas and no timing or fuel, cam issues.
