Door differences
My 70 doors have a decent bit of rust and and some old repairs that were going to make repairing them a small fiasco. I was recently able to pick up a pair of 71-72 doors that seem to be rust free. Are the only differences between the different model years the mirror style and location? Are there any other gotchas I need to watch out for?
Edit: I should note these are hardtop doors Last edited by Tempest T-37; 09-17-2020 at 01:09 PM. |

I recently replaced the driver door on my 70 gto because it had a 71 door and i wanted the mirror in the correct place. The hinges looked identical and saw nothing on the outside being different. The 70 door went right on. I did notice when we took the glass out of both doors that the plastic things that go through the holes in the glass that hook to the window track were in different places from the 70 glass compared to the 71.
