Default Factory photo date of 1966 389 engines

Would anyone know the actual date, month/year this factory photo was taken? Late 65 early 66???
Thanks, Todd

Todd,

Are you kidding? Maybe recruit a FBI lab to analyze this photo to determine the plug wire dates, or the distributor aluminum band date.

Your photo is no clearer than the one I have. When I magnify either photo, the date on the plug wire is to grainy.

These 66 AFB engines are a cool photo and you can see other details such as the “plug wire retainer”.

Both my 65 and 66 still have this plastic retainer on the RH side.

Chris.

hahahaha Chris, I did notice the plug wire retainer and immediately ran out into the garage and moved the one on my car to that position.
OK, here's the reason for my question, it's about the PCV system set up.
My car is a late '65, July of 65. Intake manifold is all original, correct '65 9778816 casting and July "G" date but it has the 1966 PCV set up with the 90 degree elbow intake manifold fitting and '66 nylon vent hose connector. The manifold has never been apart.
Being a late 65 car and assembly line 65 year parts supply probably finishing up around that time and the new 1966 assembly line parts beginning could explain the 66 PCV set up being used on my July 65 manifold.
The hose bracket is what I'm curious about.
The 65 bracket has a bend near the bottom whereas the 66 bracket has a bend near the top. I have both year brackets and don't remember which one was original to the car. Also where the bracket is located on the '66 intake is moved forward from where a 65 bracket is mounted.
That's the reason for the question of the photo time frame. Late '65 photo or early 1966???
