I have these combos to chose from.
I can either get the msd ignition, and electric fuel pump.
Or I can get a better stall,(mine is stock) or a shift kit. Which combo would be better for me,street wise?

Generally, matching the rest of your driveline to your engine's characteristics will yield the most noticeable results. But, depending on the combo you're putting together and what you have in factory parts, you may already have a good torque convertor and driveline.

Hard to say without a good description of the combination which items will benefit you more for your money.

Seems to me that if you're engine isn't getting enough fuel, there is no point in doing anything else to it. Next to suspension, the fuel systems in most cars are the most under attended systems there are. Big mistake by enthusiasts.

okay,this is what I got,until I can afford a 400 later. I have a 350 over 30,performer intake,edelbrock 750 carb,summit cam,part number 2801,some kind of 50000 volt racing (thats what it said,I doubt it)dist. a carter,mechanical fuel pump,120 gph at 6psi. 670 heads,factory 3.08 posi. I haven't checked out the prices yet,so I don't know how much this stuff costs. the only thing out of reach I believe,is rebuilding my 3.08,to 3.73 or something. The wife would have my balls if I spent $500 on the parts and labor.

Save your $ for the 400. If you already have an HEI, that's fine. You DO NOT NEED an electric fuel pump. I run the Carter on my 455 and fuel has never been a problem. You also don't need a higher stall convertor. That Summit cam will work fine with your stock one. Also, a 3:08 is not enough rear gear for a higher stall convertor.

With that combo, I don't think you're going to need a higher stall convertor. I'd go with a 600 vac secondary carb instead of the 750 on a 350 too. Or make sure you have the 750 jetted correctly. I ran a similar combo in my 400 (with a 750 Holley) for years and years with a stock mechanical fuel pump. I didn't need a higher stall convertor (also 3.08 gears) and never ran out of fuel (up to 6500 rpm after changing the rockers and intake to Performer RPM). A shift improver kit (less than $50) will be a good investment as long as the trans is solid.

I agree that your fuel needs are being met with that pump. Shift kit is what you should spend your $ on.
