I think it's the same shifter, it just has a weird shape so it looks different from one angle to the next. It is a pretty cool car but I'd want to see some documentation to substantiate the story, to make sure it's authentic and not something put together in recent years.

It appears to have the clear NASCAR headlamp covers, which is another neat item. There used to be someone in my area who had a pair of them; they hauled them around to swap meets for years, but they never sold.

Come on Stuart, put them glasses on. I don't think they're even close to the same.

I’m with Stuart on this one, funky shape but it seems to be in the same gear in both pics?

Close call, but also thing it's the same shifter. Looks like the dog leg that appears going to the center of the firewall in the first pic is actually curving towards the far right of the footwell. True angle is hidden in the first but obvious in the second.

Cool car. I had a 2 dr sedan version of this car with the 352 4 barrel auto trans. Got it from an old man who tried to give it to his grandson. He didn't want it! The car was clean, no rust. Engine had bent valves.

This could be a good buy, but it would need to be looked at carefully. New Orleans has had a quite a few cars flooded!

Default Yet another ‘65 Galaxy 427

Not a SOHC but still a nice dual quad 427 4 speed.
I learned to drive in a ‘65 Ford station wagon with a 289 and three on the tree. Same color.

Cant recall ever seeing one with a factory 4 speed before.
What a great driver type of car one of those would make with a healthy 400 transplant.
Not saying I would modify this particular car/time capsule or turn it into a driver.

Wondering if the powder blue interior was a mis-cue factory blunder , or intentional .
Have always disliked that color interior, owned 2 cars with it.

Very very cool car
