I'm actually going to see the guy today, to pick up a 19 1/2" clutch fan. I'll let you know if I see the car.

So I went and saw the gentleman and saw his all fiberglass 1974 Tran Am. He didn't do it: a friend built the whole thing, then sold it. No pics, sorry. It appears as a stock 1974 Trans Am in every way, save for when you open the door or trunk. Super straight car, all the trim fit perfectly. It really blew me away.

That’s insane isn’t it?

I have a few thoughts:

With the guy making the fiberglass molds you would think that some company would have done something with them for the aftermarket?

Without the proper structure or cage that thing would be a death trap- imagine the body turning into splinters from a 60 mph accident?

What an accomplishment for an individual. To build an entire car out of fiberglass that pulls off looking like a stock vehicle?

could someone attach the photos to here for posterity / archive ?

Kiji has never worked well with my browser and i can only view the main picture and 2 of the small thumbnails.
Much appreciated if anyone could spare the time.

It says even the suspension is fiberglass ?
That part is seeming a little too weird just from reading it as posted.
