Default Endura bumper

I’m rolling the dice on the repro bumper (long story) so if there is just one choice, Is there a best of the worst choice on where to buy it?

Is it exactly the same material used as original?

In 1968 and 1969 you got a chrome bumper as standard equipment. The option was the body-colored “Endura” bumper,

It came today and looks fine out of the box. I guess I’ll know after it’s fitted.

Sorry, but I disagree. According to my books and having lived near a Pontiac Dealer in in 1968, the Endura was standard and they only offered a Chrome bumper as an option because they were not sure the Endura bumper would be accepted. As it turned out, it was wildly popular and as a result, in 1969, the Chrome bumper was not offered.
Anyone out there with an all original 1969 GTO with a Chrome Bumper? Love to here from you and check out your vehicle history.

Fit to car with weight on suspension. Don't be alarmed when you lift the car up,it should go back in place once lowered back down.

I realized just how much the frames flex recently .. my GTO is supported on the lift at the firewall frame corners, and just forward of the rear axle ... all my body mount bolts are loose to wait for fitting of the front clip ... there is about 1/2" between the top of the firewall rubber mounts and the bottom of the body where they would contact.

Initially I panicked when I saw it ... then ran to check the other one, both the same. So that big V8 hanging out in the air definitely tweaks the frame if the body isn't bolted down good.

Since it’s going to be jet black, is there anything different with grille color?

I was told just black with silver around the inside but does anyone know what silver to use? Is the black satin, flat?
