I overlooked this needed part. I am swapping out my tripower for a quadrajet on an RPM.

The throttle bracket is incorrect.

Any suggestions?
Those universal kits are kinda ugly. I would like to avoid them if I can.

I like the Lokar cable however agree it’s not correct for some cars but you can cover it w shrink tube too.
I have cut a factory throttle cable bracket and welded it to a plate across the two bosses on the edelbrock intake for factory cable useage I can get pic tomorrow nothing fancy but it worked fine

Color me cheap but, $115.00?

Here is what I used:

'71 Chevelle Qjet Throttle cable bracket ($26.00). Pictured upside down showing anti-rotation pin that engages Qjet baseplate at corner and '68-80 GM throttle cable retainer split lock ($7.24) to retain cable.



As installed it looks and functions like OEM. The Spreadbore carb mounting is same as a Qjet including bolt location and anti-rotation hole. If your Qjet uses a raised "bump" instead of the anti-rotation pin, you simply drill out the pin on the bracket which is just staked on. Note factory style return spring location as well.

I think I also found a Chevy part on a pickup truck in a junkyard, although I believe I needed it for the TH350 kickdown cable. Amazing the things we now wish we had grabbed by the bucketload when they were plentiful in junkyards in the 80s/90s.

Update finally installed the kit.

Overall it's a great kit. Fit like a glove. I used my tri power cable and the length was correct. But it is maxed out.
Nice thing is, you have adjustments side to side and front and back.
The bolt holes lined up perfectly.
T6 aluminum is very sturdy.

I am toying with the idea of painting it black though. Kinda shiney.
