Those with 72 lemans, I need your help
I am decloning my 72 and I have NOS fenders and they aren't predrilled for the standard Lemans fender emblems. Anyone have fenders off the car or could measure where I need to drill the holes or even make a template for me? I would greatly appreciate any help!

Here are some pics of the fender from my car. The hardest part is how to measure from the wheel well, since it is a curve. I put a piece of 2" tape at the approximate edge of the wheelwell. I also put a piece of tape at the peak of the fender, and it is about 6-1/4" down to the top of the lettering.
The inside of the fender gives you something to measure for holes. It is about 9-11/16 from hole center to the top of the slot for the rocker molding. Measuring from the hole to the wheel well is difficult, but I threw a pic in there for you. I am not sure how to measure things better, let me know how I can help you and I will do all that I can. Another Option....
Or, like I did, you could splice in the extractor from a GTO fender. Its just personal taste......
Have fun, Mike |

Thank you for the pictures! Maybe making a template out of cardboard or paper would help? Id pay for the shipping. I shoulda kept my old fenders. They were so far gone i pitched them and i thought the NOS ones would have holes predrilled.
That scoop looks cool, i didnt think about that! If i wasnt going original i would do that

Do your fenders have holes in them for moldings, or what factory points do you have that I could start from? I am thinking that the fenders should have the holes inside the wheel opening, and the square hole for the rocker molding.
Let me know what makes sense. I can take some drawing paper and make a template. Mike |
