Thanks for tackling that one for me I must have missed it. I guess the question was geared towards buffing out the paint, if for prepping to repaint just lightly scuff the edges but usually a small sand through on edges before paint won't cause too big an issue.

More Firebird Build.
We start with a fire attempt = gone bad; no fuel pressure -fixed it, bad ecm -sent it off, faulty computer - fixed and in transit back to Tucson.
Then we put the front end on the body and start the rear disc brake conversion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l_W-L3v8OI It's November 18th 14 maybe 15 days left still no fire, glass install, interior install, test drive... Can you tell I'm starting to sweat.

Damn computers, thats why I will stick to carb. Car is looking very good. I think you mentioned in one of the first videos this was to be a driver, funny how they morf into something a little more than a driver lol, or is this a driver for photofinish restorations?. If it is just a driver I would love to see one of your show cars. Can't wait to hear that beast come alive! I hope you meet your deadline.

We've Got Fire in the Hole.
First fire on the Firebird 400. Seems like a long road so happy to be at this stage, not quite finished yet but hitting the major milestones in stride. I hope you like the video.

400 Hood Emblems Installed.
Alright, getting down to the wire the Firebird has been at the upholsterer's since Friday, it was driven there on it's own power. Carlos is getting after all the fiberglass panels getting them fit and ready for covering. Seats are almost fully covered and we are working on modifying the seat brackets (since Chuy is 2 inches shorter than a sasquach). Hoping for glass install Friday, car coming back to Photofinish Monday for road test and final details. The 10th of December our Firebird has to be in San Diego For Shipment to Germany.
Here is the video I made of installing the 400 Hood Emblems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrdM_OY4hEM

Motor Mounts?
Hello,
I am looking to find out what motor mounts you used. The actual mount that bolts to the block. I have a similar build going on and sure wish I could find out what mount you are using. I have the same subframe and "motor stands" that you used in this build. I just need to find the mounts that bolt to the block. Thanks, Mike |
