Default How Many GT-37s Are In Existance?

What would be a good guess to how many GT-37s are still around? Does PHS record how many they have documented? I can't imagine a whole lot of these cars still exist.

there are a lot more 71s than 70s. at least that I've come across. of course it makes sense given the production numbers.

There are more left that you may think. There rare ones are the 70's and early stripe 71's. The sword stripe 71 seem to be the most common.

I was just thinking normal wrecks, rusted out cars, blown engines, that got scrapped. I can't imagine that out of 5802 made in 1971 there would still be over 4000 in existance. Since they were just normal cars when new, I bet no one thought they would be worth anything down the road.

I have a Lucy blue early 71 and I knew of another Black with gold stripe late car in VA. I went and looked at a Lucy blue June built car a couple of weeks ago auto bench car that will never be a car again so you can scratch at least one from the list. Mark

I own an early-stripe '71 GT-37 in the rarest color: Rosewood, built December 1970.

Had a chance to buy a real rough '70 GT-37 a few years back. It was white w/green interior 350/3speed. It got parted out and crushed. I still have the PHS.

A guy I went to school with(graduated in 89) had a 1971 GT-37, 350 3 speed, gold with black sword stripe. Was pretty rusty at that time, don't know what happened to it. There use to be a 1970 T-37 sitting next to house a few years back, that one disappeard. Also one of my older brothers friend has a 71 T-37 that is all original and no rust, red exterior, black interior, 250 six cylinder automatic.

As long as we're on the subject, I am working on a GT-37 registry on my GT-37 website, to document who has what, and how many are known. It will probably also include a registry for LeMans GTs from '72-'77.

for what it's worth I have a limkist green metalic 71 T-37 350/350 car all original I believe and a I believe it has 25k on it. can't verify though. It still has the caps on the idle adjustment screws though FWIW. It's kind of a JY dog right now but all there minus some glass and will be glorious again some day.

any production numbers on the 71 V8 T-37's?
