Well Crap! I am leaving tomorrow and will land in Detroit around mid day Friday. The crap part is my GTO is going to stay in the garage so I will be driving up in the disco queen. I have been battling a vibration that I haven't yet resolved in the goat and hate to take a chance on any damage or being stranded.
Can't wait to see the action even if it is in a cruiser.

Some info from the Woodward Tigers club (sharing parking with the Motor City chapter of the POCI).

Nevermind my main post in the lobby...

Everyone think its a good idea to bring the Bird? A lot of guys in our group opted to not bring their cars- had me a little nervous about bringing mine up and not being able to enjoy the cars and the cruise.

ALright, Dugans is a must. Getting up to Pontiac is a must. Anything else?

Will look for the free places to park as well.

Thanks for the insight Keith, all.

I was there from 4-10 last night. I sat in front of Pasqales (sp). THe action was great and the people were great. I am from Indiana but my brother and I have meet in Detroit the last 4 years on Wednesday night of the Dream Cruise. Sams Shell station had some really bad ass cars parked in the lot. I have been amazed at watching 8 lanes of traffic for 6 hours and we have never seen a rear end collision.

Obviously, there are interesting cars/trucks/bikes everywhere, but you might want to add the Northwood Shopping Center lot at the southwest corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road to your list. That's also where the Mopar/Chrysler corporate display is located on Saturday.

Across the street and just north of Duggan's is Dan's Shell station. Always full of interesting stuff.

Michigan Widetrackers are in Pontiac at the Oakland Press lot, on the west side of "The Loop" in Pontiac; many nice Pontiacs in the group.

Have fun!

It's Sam's Shell, not Dan's.
Guess I was typing in the dark...
