Just do it. Kick down is a stellar feature when geared & Governed correctly.

+2 on not hooking it up. I can pull my trans back into 2nd gear at 50mph and ROAST any sort of street tire. At my age having a "skateboard" under the rear of your car isn't all that appealing, so I don't hook-up the kickdown in my TH400 and choose to manually shift it down, if/as needed.....Cliff

Don't remember where I saw it for sale, but the pull switch was activated off a cable and spring. The spring allows adjustment where the switch can be set to activate at any point of the throttle position. The shorter the cable the sooner the switch is tripped, and the spring allows for the remaining travel without binding up the throttle linkage.

For the street, why not use the OE bracket, switch, and wiring?

lust, I wish you could remember where you saw it. I need a setup like that to hook up the power feed to my elect fuel pump so it will kick on when the Go pedal gets pushed far enough and turn itself off to use the mech pump only the rest of the time.

Ive got that from my set up with my 850 Demon. I'll take a pic when I get home later this week that there is no provision for that to hook up on the drivers side.

I was thinking more of like one of the slide switches with the button that sticks out to contact the gas peddle rod. It could be mounted up under the dash area. Or something like 400 has but you would need to have a long thin piece of spring steel so it would close at a certain point but then the lever would continue to bend until WOT. Like the switches on a older vintage air.
Any way you do it there has to be some sort of spring setup involved.

I will not be using the Nitrous switch on the passenger side. I will use my Lokar switch that I already had and I will add the Holley 20-121 700R lever to the throttle lever in the pic. I believe all I need do is drill 1 additional hole for it to work. http://s44.photobucket.com/user/400P...d5978.jpg.html

So you decided not to use the micro-switch set up?
