Default New member with Can Am

Just joined the forum after my Can Am purchase over the weekend and wanted to say HI to everyone. I've got a picture of the car in my public profile for those that are interested. Car was painted in the 99 and had the rear quarters widened a bit for larger tires. It also had the axle narrowed some. Whomever did the work, did nice quality work. Interior is nearly mint condition. Underhood is unknown condition 400 not currently complete. Looks like they swapped the motor and never finished the job. I hope to have it running by the end of the weekend! :-)

Anyways, thanks for having me. I'm sure I'll be asking for parts sooner rather than later since they seem to be quite difficult to find. I'll also be patching the floors up a bit later and I'll post progress as thing get further along.

Welcome to the forums! Looks like a nice Can Am project you have. I have owned 1 Can Am, 3 73 GTOs, a few other A-bodies, and a bunch of 73-77 Grand Prixes. Keep us posted on the progress, this is a great forum with a ton of knowledge. Another useful site (that most of us here haunt as well) is the A-body site: http://users.boardnation.com/~abodysite/.

Nice car, the 1/4's look like there the ones for a 73 because they have the eyebrows over the wheel lips. Looks good.

Thanks all! I'm located not far from Milwaukee, WI. I'll make sure to check out the other forum as well.

As far as the quarters go on my car...I don't have many details on what was done. I think they look good on the car, but I can't stand the wheels and tires that are on there. I'm thinking those YearOne cast Ralleye II wheels would look awesome. 17x9 in the rear, 17x8 in the front. Anyone else run those or thought about it?
