Default Edelbrock head porting

So I want to get my heads ported into the 300 cfm+ range. Anybody have some recommendations. I was going to have butler but there 4 months out. Looking for quality and if I have I’ll wait

My heads were ported to 325 by Butler. Worth the wait

Contact Paul Knippen who posts here regarding his work load. He was involved with some of Jim Butlers Edelbrock CNC programs. Cell 630-400-441

You’ll also need to have the intake manifold flange port exit raised up 1/8” to RA4 gasket size and if you want to use all of that 300 cfm to make hp then that new RA4 gasket height needs to go all the way up the runner to where it meets the plenum.

If fact on the way up the runner that port area needs to expand, not just stay at RA4 size.

"Cleaning" up a set of Edelbrock cylinder heads to approach or at your proposed 300 cfm, this at 28" and 0.600" valve lift.

From the internet...

The intake bowl is opened up and blended to the rectangular intake port. Very little material is removed. The intake runners are widened at the pushrod bulge and the floor of the runner is widened to the valve bowl transition with a generally trapezoidal shape.

After the porting, a multi-angle valve job is performed and the heads are cc'd. The intake runners are also cc'd to verify the proper amount of material removed.

The exhaust ports are very good out of the box and need only a little massaging on the short side of the port.

Not rocket science for a good head porter

SD performance. not sure on the time frames but one of the best & original CNC porter for pontiac heads. https://www.sdperformance.com/

most intakes dont require the flange to be raised to use RA4 gaskets, at least not factory intakes, ive had SD do their full intake plenum & runner porting, the RA4 gasket fits & seals fine on iron & HO aluminum intakes.

I was reading your motor info, she sounds like a fun car to drive. Did you ever dyno it? Just curious
