I'll mic them when I get back from my travels.

Hi, I was just curious if you had a chance to mic the drums yet?

Sorry; I got waylaid in Virginia on my way back. I picked up a really nasty cold on the return flight, which had me postpone my drive back up until tomorrow (Monday) night. I should have something to report by mid-week.

Hi, did you get a chance to do anything with the drums yet?

I am planing to make an order on front drums soon, either from franks or from you. Are you still wanting to sell?

So sorry for the long delay and silence!

I was quite under the weather for much of last month, and have been struggling to catch up on a number of things.

As it turns out, the drums I have would not be suitable (too much rust). When they were taken off the parts car, they were removed in whole assemblies (read: drum, shoes, spindle). I can't even separate the drums from the shoes at this point.

Sorry to hold you up. Indeed, Franks would be the best way to go for used, or Ames, if you want new.

Ok, thanks for getting back to me.
I'm glad you are feeling better!
I was actually able to find a nice new disk brake set that cost me the same as franks would have.

Thanks. That cold that I thought I'd shaken came back with a vengeance and laid me out for a couple more weeks. Ugh!

Anyway, glad to hear that you were able to find new ones which didn't cost you more than a used set. I was rather disappointed in the condition of the ones I had (I would have tossed them long ago had I thought they were that frozen...oh, well).

Good luck with your conversion.
