Default Hot day

94 degrees, 60% humidity, heat index is 110. It will probably get a little hotter before things cool off for the evening.

Nah, hot is when it's 105-108, and more in sight. Looks like today we get cooled off w/less than 100 ... yeah! Now where is that rain?

I went and worked in Mississippi in July a few years back that would be 6am on a cool morning. It was 100°+ every day I was there l was told it’s July that’s what happens here. That broke me from complaining about the dozen or so 90°+ days here in Ohio.

Default Heat broke today

Finally in the 70s here and forecast says it’ll be that way for a while. 50s at night with lower humidity. Finally! Nope I can get more done without collapsing from heat stroke.

If you believe the farmer’s almanac, we’re in for a bad winter here but I trust them as much as I trust politicians……..

It not the heat, it’s the humidity.

Any forecast longer than a week or two out is just guessing anyway. I've heard it's supposed to be a milder winter.

Up to 98 with a heat index of 114 now, record highs for this date. It gets hot in MN in the summer, but in late August this is definitely out of the ordinary. Interestingly, it's only around 65 degrees in Duluth up by Lake Superior, so there's a pretty big heat gradient across the state.

Exclamation UPDATE !

We had this strange moisture on our deck by the pool. I asked my wife if the pool had been overflowing ... she said we had rain! My weather station indicated "0.00" inches.

I must have missed that shower. LOL But at least it never got to 100 degrees ... looks like 97. Yah for cold weather!

Currently 85 degrees with 63% humidity, which gives us a 91 degree “feels like” temp. Only going to get hotter until Saturday when this crap is supposed to break up, hopefully. 63% humidity for the Ohio Valley is somewhat low humidity. It normally runs around 70-75% or higher.

Stuart, Flight Service won’t give you a forecast more than eighteen hours in advance.

Love SW Ohio. Where we can have Florida heat and humidity, plus the cold of a Minnesota winter, all in the same year.

Ohio doesn't get near as cold as MN. The record low is only -39 F and that was back in 1899 in Milligan in the center of the state.

I go outside in my shirtsleeves in -40...

Bada$$. Even for us.

The mother of all hot summers.

Gotta figure. It`s rare for Lafayette to get to 100 degrees because we are so close to the gulf. We get south winds and it rains most every day in the summer. Not this year. We have rare red flag warnings for fire.

It`s been brutal since late May.

This stubborn high pressure ain`t playin.
