Default Reading the archives and wondering.

I read old threads on a regular basis and am just as impressed with information I learn from them as I am from new post. Many times the forum members are no longer active having contributed to threads going back 20 years. I wish them all well and thank them for contributing to the hobby. I was wondering is it a no no to revive an old thread in an effort to have some of the current knowledgeable members to add additional comments if they so desire. We've got some really smart people currently contributing.

I don’t see any harm in adding to an old technical topic. I often find that old experience and information is invaluable to repairing old cars. Some forums have moderators who will lock down helpful older topics because of a recent post.
Useless exceptions will fade away naturally, pertinent info should rise to the top periodically.
My 2 cents.

Yes.
I haven’t seen Screamingchief and Zcode400 go at it for quite a few years.

There aren't archives as such, just old posts. You can look for them using the advanced search function - click on the Search button at the top of the page, and then click on Advanced Search.

As long as you're not in Responsive 2017 style, archives can be found at the bottom of the page, RH side.

May I ask, what is responsive 2017? I see that on the bottom of my page on this thread.

There's a drop down arrow by that. Click it and it will show a few other options.
I use the 2015 one.

Drag up some 25 year old "for sale " GTO , Firebird, TA , and my favourite B bodies ,so I can have a cry .

I learn something new every time I check in, and I need old topics coming up again and again as the memory isn't what it used to be.
So it's always going to be an interesting read.
