Check out your pull a parts places...

I got perfect 2004 Caddy seats(power and lap belt) for like 150$

The power module is in the seats, you might even be able use the heated seat option.

they can be used with or without the center console(looks like a bench).

Easy to find new leather on ebay or leatherseats

The issues with using newer OE seats is that they are extremely heavy, and they can be bulky with all the integrated airbag stuff. Mounting is a challenge, but usually easily overcome.

The nice thing about Procar is they use a standard type rail and mounting system, which is spread across many aftermarket manufacturers. For example, I have Recaro RS seats in my 'bird, and it has the same type mounting as the Procar.

I bought the Recaros in like 1982, when they weren't that expensive, but they are showing some wear in the seat pan suspension system, and some of the foam. I was thinking it would be less expensive to replace them than to have them rebuilt/recovered. I am going from a previous color to black, so one way or another, I will have to do something.

I will look for pics of the seats installed, and the brackets. Can provide rough measurements too, but it's the 'standard' mounting system for just about all the big aftermarket seats.

I'm putting 2005 GTO seats in my build. I picked up a complete set of front & rears seats and the only mod I did was to modify the tracts with some plating to fit the bolts on the floor. The nice thing is that the rear seats are the same size as my convertible seats and will fit between the rear panels nicely. Just some foam modification, but I do upholstery for a living so not an issue. I should say, I did upholstery. I just retired this year but my son took over the shop so I still get to use all the cool tools LOL.

1970 GTO Judge convertible. This was a show car for the first month after restification, driven since (took 1st in class at 1997 GTOAA nats in Atlanta in 1997).
Corbeau Seats installed in 1997. I broke one hinge bolt in 1999 by pushing back too hard and they promptly replaced it with two new ones. Zero issues since,
Very comfortable on long trips (max has been 7.5 hours) and good side support. I had to cut and weld feet to get them to mount to the existing stock mounting points. No biggie.
I would definitely buy again. They even sent me some fabric so I could have the rear seat upholstered to match. Nice people to deal with.

These are for my '73 Firebird. I bought old ones out of a Honda Prelude and had them recovered when I had the interior done. They are the same size and height as the originals.

I have the 06 chrysler sebring seats but they are recovered and wrapped to look like 69 gto seats. One of these days I will have those seats cut down and shaved into a more smaller seats.

I had Recaros I bought in 80 for the 78 until I started showing it back in the 90s. Were great for autocrossing. They were way heavier then the factory seats. But they are going to get new foam and recovered to match factory rear seat .

Well here's the best part, none of these seats are installed in your car!

Yeah tough to get good looking functional seats in a vintage car. Usually costs way more than people want to spend but it can be done. Just rarely is.

Frankie - what year 300zx did they come out of? Non power I assume? They look like they fit nice & low in there.

Jhein - I really like those TMI. Was thinking after getting a set of used OEM seats then recovering in leather It would probably cost about the same. Can you have them remove their TMI logo off the upper shoulder area? Always didn’t like that about them.

72projectbird - exactly! Some people just have no self control, or maybe it was couth? Probably both…

Thanks to all (mostly) for the good info & great pics.

Default Monaro seats

I have fitted 2002 Monaro buckets into my 69 GTO.
They were from the first series one Monaro's built in 2002, they changed the design of the seat in 2003 to the same as the ones in 2004-2006 GTO, which were sold in the States.
I think the series one seat is much better looking seat than the series two, I love how the headrest sits down into the backrest, looks more like the original 68-72 Abody seats.
