Which lane were you in?
Last year they had the bugs/cobwebs or something in one side.

Bader wasn't there? Would have talked to him. But being last race probably not much sense to it.

Dragonflies. Ask me how I know !

What do ya mean by last race ?

Does Bader still own the track ?

I thought he said it was the Chief's race, which is at the end of day?

As for Bader, thought he still owned the track?

And yes it was dragonflies, forgot that.
Knew a couple other racers that were bitten.

I noticed after the Boss Bird pass on Sunday back in the pits that they they had splattered some creature to the front bumper. Looked like it was pretty good size, possibly a drag’n fly.

This took me out in round 2 Sunday. I had a 1.35 60' while it had been 1.44-1.45 all weekend and NEVER better than 1.40. I broke out while on the brakes also. RT was .107 so I may have been red if the system was working properly. I also went to the tower and pled my case with no luck.

This also happened to my opponent on Saturday in round one. His run was about 2 tenths off. They did make us rerun. Luckily, I came out on top both runs.

Can you post the et slips?

This can usually be shown, if it is the timing system.
I have seen this happen and usually it's a problem with the timing system.
(some of it may be grounding issues or electrical interferences)

These are my 2 passes from Saturday's second round. I was in the left lane. See any difference in the right lane times?

And this deserves to be told- that this busy crew graciously took on the added burden of tutoring a rookie, by being my crew to test-run the lakester (all of 182 c.i.!) at Norwalk 2019. An invaluable opportunity and I can't thank them enough.

Thanks Jack. I am glad I finally got to hear your engine run in person. With the changes you made in gearing and the priming system, the second run would have been much stronger and we would have had a chance to really hear that little Pontiac sing. But time and schedule wouldn't allow, I guess. As far as our crew, they work damn hard for cold pizza, that's for sure. We do practice our starting and staging procedures at home and we still need some improvement. Everyone has multiple jobs and then primary responsibilities. Eric is very organized and lots of things are written down. Diverse talents, not all die hard Pontiac guys. (sorry). Dave our master clutch man is as crazy about Oldsmobiles as we are about Pontiac's. He is in the final stages of finishing Joe Mondello's V O Twister II, not a replica. Tim Fields, the man with six eyes, finds all kinds of weird things going wrong right before they actually do. He finds the missing dzus fastener, the loose nut or bolt, the missing zip tie. And he is a Ford guy, ( takes plenty of crap from us for that). Next race for us is Funny Car Chaos in MI. Boss Bird will need to go 5 rounds to win. Serious challenge. It will be all Hemi's and us.

We had a list on the firewall that could be seen by the starting crew.... last thing on the list, " finish right side up"!
You guys look like true professionals out there!

your slips look very similar to mine as far as where the discrepancies were. I have a video that sure looks like i left damn near perfect, too. file it under another way to lose a drag race, and hopefully it will not happen to us again.
Lou Greco also was int he tower at the same time i was due to breaking out by over a tenth, i do not htink they rer-an that race, but i was busy packing up by then.

That 1st pic is definitely messed up.
They couldn't see that when shown it?

On that 'slip' is that the way it is actually given out now?
The 'First' should be who got to the finish line first.
That should have been a big clue.
The MOV shown is the biggest clue from the pic.
.3051 MOV is like 55 feet, was that the distance between you 2 at finish line?
(I show about 3 feet)

With the reaction time that far off from a normal RT, should be another good clue.

Usually, for whatever reason, the timer doesn't start when it should.
So the .326 RT minus the 'normal' RT is the amount of error or delay of the timer start.
Say .326 - .003 (from other ticket) = .323 timer delay.
If you notice the MPH are actual because they don't use the starting line timer.
But since you had a .323 second head start basically the ET incrementals will be quicker than they should be.
Add the .323 to the final ET and that is what the ET would have been actually. (with a .003 lite)

Try using this calculator: MOV Calc

It's an app for your phone. It's called Race SMP. It keeps your last 50 runs. You just search for your car number. You can also search other car numbers to see how your friends runs went. It also has weather and DA but they were using corrected barometer to figure DA.

Here are the actual time slips from my second round and the rerun they had us do. I was left lane. The next day, the timers screwed up when I was in the right lane. I didn't get a rerun (like many others with the same issue).
