I think this is probably not as much of an issue on the GTO/A-Body bar, since it doesn't tie into the body at all.

My '68 Bird convertible had a big old honking aftermarket Herb Adams bar on it when I got - the kind with the drop links that tie to the body. Hanging a sway bar from a Firebird convertible body IS pretty funny. I took it off, and not surprisingly.... no difference.

Anyway, didn't mean to hi-jack the thread - just read it from start to finish. That's a really killer car you've landed, Chris. Congrats!

Sometimes these on-line love affairs take funny turns.

You know .... she sends some pictures claiming to be some sexy convertible with full blown pedigree and everything in all the right places.

You send her some travel money to come and get better acquainted.

She turns out to be a big fat 4 door Lemans with a scabby azz, flat chested hood,
and leaves a puddle everywhere she sits. LMAO

Good Luck Boss !
When is she due ?

Thanks Todd - like it isn't scary enough buying something like this over the internet!

My manager at the bank looked at me every time I came in to wire another batch of money down to Florida "You sure you know this guy?" Yep "You sure the car exists" Yep "Ok, it's your money, but once it's gone it's gone!" I understand.

I spoke with Julian (the driver) yesterday afternoon, he should be here late tomorrow or Monday. The seller said there is a folder of documentation on the passenger seat for me to go through including an old picture from prior to the re-paint. Looking forward to going through that.

I am definitely that kid!

My son & daughter got dropped off around 9:30 last night while I was on the phone with Microsoft trying to de-virus my office computer and Patrick walked into the office - looked at me and asked if it was here yet? I shook my head no and he was clearly disappointed & realizing now I was on the phone mouthed the word "WHEN"?

I think he finally gets it! We're taking the 68 Lemans 6 cyl/3spd out today for a drive after we change the rims/tires & re-set the rear springs.

U-tube of all places Gary, Microsoft believes it was embedded in the link - title was something about LS-6 convertible so be careful!

Got rid of it & the files are still there but the directories are gone - need to call them again today to fix that.

I'll have some new porn for you shortly!

Chris, I well remember the anxious feelings waiting on my car to arrive from Chicago! On the day of arrival my boys were just as anxious as me. The phone rang and it was the driver letting us know he was about to take our exit on I-85. We all blasted out the front door to watch it arrive..Longest 10 minutes I can remember. First drive around the neighborhood with the boys was awesome..watching the grin on my oldest son's face when I asked him if he wanted to drive was priceless! Enjoy her arrival friend and be prepared to sit and stare at her in the garage for awhile.

I've been thinking about this car that Chris just bought, I thought I had seen it in a magazine. I finally found the article today, Pontiac Enthusiast 1994...not the same car either, but was from Florida! This one is a 4 speed though, the engine however is just a "lowly d port 400" ( I think you said that somewhere Chris?)

How many in the stable does Lucy make it Chris?....seems you have quite a Harem happening...everytime I look at a thread, there you are with another one!!

Chris,
Did Lucy make it up to your house yet or is she sightseeing on the way up there? Hopefully she has called you to tell you she is safe and not to worry about her. You
know how they can be, with all these outlet malls and stuff right next to the expressway.

Sorry John, I had to download them off my phone & send a thank you note to the seller!

She showed up this afternoon & I couldn't be happier! Has some issues that need to be sorted out - springs, clutch fan, hood tach & oil pressure gauge aren't working, probably an alignment but nothing I wasn't expecting.

Gave here a quick wash - then went for a blast into town to vacuum out the carpets. Realized when I was on the phone with Gary after dinner that I hadn't checked to see if she had a peg leg or not - so he got to go for the ride with me.

She ain't no cripple!!!

Looking good there Chris. Now you'll have to find a nice '72 post car to complete the set!
