It's just an illusion compliments of

Wham, yes, the flares are fiberglassed and molded to the fenders and the nose is custom made and molded right to the front fenders. If you notice the side vents and former trunk are also molded. I Was very young (19) when this was done. If the car was original numbers matching, I would have probably have left it alone, Who knew back then what the cars would be worth. Even the dash is custom, 10 cyberdyne digital gauges. I had to move all the controls to the console.(headlights, wipers, washer etc.)

Wham, I only have one pic of the dash right now and it is not a good pic. The dash is blacked out with smoked plexiglass. You can only see the gauges when the car is running. I may be changing it soon because even with tinted windows, the daytime glare makes it difficult to see. The shaker has the same screen as the grills and has 455 light up in red LED's. There are 3 LED's on either side of the 455 which blink with the turn signals and there is a green led outside each turn indicator which go on when the high beams are on. I actually just got done AGAIN with the interior and It's clean. If I get more pics I'll post them. Am getting ready to replace the gas tank, front coils and shocks then finally have the motor rebuilt.

Wham, A rough pic of the making of the flares.I actually bent a threaded rod about 1/4 " thick and fiberglassed them to edges of the flares for strength, but only did the rough work, the details were done by a guy at a body shop. The fiberglass nose with the squared headlights were not in the plans. The car was in the body shop for almost a year. Just the trunk and flares were to be done. I was finally going to pick up the car when the owner called me to tell me that one of his employees started the car in drive. (the neutral safety switch was not installed yet) and the car went through the body shop wall. Needless to say after I screemed at the guy I decided to have a fiberglass nose done and he suggested the square headlights.I agreed on a price and another 7 months later went to pick up the car. The owner wanted $800 more than we agreed on because the extra work was more involved than he thought. I told him I would pick up the car the next day. I went there with 3 of my BIG friends and told him that I was taking the car. He didn't argue with me and I took it and the rest of the parst home and spent another 6 months finishing the interior and trim details. Sorry for the long winded story but I went through hell with this car.

you still have the blue and white t/a's?
I need sizes(rims/tires/b-space) on the 17's you had on those cars.

This isn't my car but a friend of mine. It is a 73 Firebird SD455 Automatic with 5K miles. Very nice and very original.
