I think you are right Mike. Unfortunately . It won't be the same at all. He was our pit partner the last 2 years at Norwalk. He has been a huge part in our racing program and in my life personally. I feel very lucky to be one of his many friends. I have been aimlessly going thru the day today. Remembering all the time and conversations we've had together. It's very surreal. Sorry for the loss of your cousin.

I have known Mike for the better part of 20 years. What a driven individual. Always full steam ahead! There has been so many accurate descriptions on here of the big man. I will ask all of you to keep his boy's in your prayers. Over the past year their lives have had the rug pulled out from under them. This obviously will devastate them. Terrible, just terrible. RIP Michael I will miss you buddy.

Wife said I had the worst nite of sleep in years. Its not about the parts , weird thing is, checks in the mail, he is gone. All on the same day. His family is going to get it in a few days and bring it all back for them. This is terrible. Last txt he gave me was "Rock On".
There was something extra in him.
We have all had nites where you wake up, and you know something is wrong, then you remember, hard time going back to sleep, then you do it again. My last nite.
Mike PMed me first a few years back. Wanted to help,go balls out.
It was not just about the parts. Those heads were going to sit for most of a year.
But I was looking forward to conversations because now he wanted to talk Pontiacs with me.Could not get him off the phone. Opened up.
John posted about him coming in asking about half point more CR. He said John jokingly called him a compression whore. I thought 16-1 was a lot, but 18-1. Thats diesel territory. One of a kind for sure.
He thought a lot of you John. There was love in him. Full of life and driven.

What a loss for all.
You know we may not get to meet people personally and break bread of lift a glass, but there is a friendship that comes together here on the board. Mike was a big part of that and will be missed.

Is there an address that we can send a donation to?

So sad to see good people taken from us suddenly like this, especially hard to stomach when it's caused by SOB's that don't deserve an ounce of our respect. I'm not part of the racing community but as an avid Pontiac guy, I'm very torn apart over Mike's passing. My heart goes out to his family, especially his 10 year old son who's blessed to have to survived. Hopefully he will keep his father's Pontiac legacy alive. That will be a hard moment to overcome in his young life.

He was in construction most of his career. His business at present was basement water proofing.

A huge loss both to his family and his extended family of car nuts. I always liked to read what he was doing in the race section and he seems like a hell of a guy from what others here have written. My condolences to his family and especially his young son.

I've always considered myself a guest on this site and even though it turns out he lived about 25 min from me I never had the pleasure of crossing paths. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends for your terrible loss. I always tell my kids live life to the fullest because life can change at an instant.

I didn't know Mike hadn't ever talked to him, he was and will always be the first one that comes my mind when I here or think anything PONTIAC ! He was just hilarious to keep up with, you never knew what he was going to come wth maybe he was going to make 2000 hp n/a this time! If it's possible he would find it and laugh his ass off while we all try and figure it out. R.I.P.

My condolences. I didn't know him personally, but his expertise will be missed. For a CDL semi driver to be DUI is inexcusable. Indiana is 0.04% while working, but the truck driver must have been hammered. Poor kid had to witness this too.
