No because I'm curious...For some reason years ago I thought this was suppose to be the Motor that showed the potential of the CV-1 cylinder head...now be it it has some reeeeally nice features...but if it's taken 6yrs and still hasn't materialized is it going to take another 6+yrs for us to see what the power potential is of the " new" CV-1.1's ?????

Well the engine was a 572 TALL DECK. BOP stopped making the Cam Drive parts for the TALL DECK belt drive at one point as they were upgrading to a much better system on the normal deck height engines. The new system for the normal deck blocks had a much better belt design and material, different gear tooth profile for the belt and gears, better thrust bearing system for the cam, etc, etc.

So then the plan was presented that the people would design their own belt drive system and did not need BOP (as they had an expert on Belt Drives).

So you have posted a very good question, for the experts to answer.

Yeah since the things left the starting line and........we are still waiting for a timeslip.

My other question is was there multiple people who had $ into this project and do they feel like they got a good ROI.... Return on investment?????

I think it was Bills personal deal and it got put on the back burner due to work load... Not to speak for him but believe that's the deal on that combo...
