It looks great John!
Added a teaser of my own – only this one is in primer being used to hold tools.

If that ain’t enough, added a picture of the truck outside just to give everyone a warm feeling.

Interesting story... I received a call Saturday from the previous owner my GTO. I have not seen or heard from him in over 15 years. After I purchased the car 18 years ago, Tim and his wife decided to move to Florida.

During the last month, he has been in Ohio visiting family. While being stuck in the house because of all the snow he decided to give me a call and ask what I had done with the car. He was surprised and happy that I still had the GTO. I invited Tim over and we had a nice conversation about the car and he was shocked to see how nice it looked.

Tim said that he was looking to purchase a 67 Camaro when he stumbled across the GTO. He purchased it but didn't drive it a whole lot. Although he did tell a story about racing it through the streets of Cleveland and almost wrecking it.

Below is a picture of Tim with the car.

OK guys, here's a good story. Hopefully I get all the facts straight. A friend of mine purchased a 66 GTO brand new and totaled it in an accident about a year later. By 1968 he was looking to buy another GTO when he found out about the new Ram Air option due to be released while reading a hot rod magazine. He went down to several Pontiac dealerships in the area but none of them had heard of the Ram Air II option yet. Finally he went down to Myrtle Motors and spoke to Harry Wesch. Harry said he had heard of the option but didn't know much about it. Myrtle Motors ordered him the car and because they didn't have enough information charged him the price for a standard GTO. At that time he asked Harry if Myrtle motors could do a "Royal Bobcat" type tune-up to the car before he picked it up. He remembers when the car arrived at the dealership. He went to see the car and says he saw the heads were off the motor and Harry was working on the engine. The car was a red hardtop with black interior , bench seat and a 4-speed. A week later he picked up the car and within a few more weeks took it to the National Speedway were it was running 13 flat with slicks. After some time he took it over to Nunzi and had more work done. By 1969 the car was running consistent 12.70's and was his daily driver. He would race it at the track on weekends and at times street raced it in the NYC area. By the mid 70's he no longer had a garage to keep the car in and he didn't want the car to get beat up leaving it outside. He decided to sell the car to a young kid whose father said he could have the car as long as he could make the car slower. My friend decided to remove the Ram Air II motor and 4-speed trans and installed a regular 400 with an auto trans so the kids father would let him buy it. One day in the early 80's he gets a call from the kid he sold the car to. The kid said he didn't want the car anymore and that my friend could have the car back for free. The kid said he had taken the plates off the car and that it was parked in front of his house. All my friend had to do was go and pick it up. It took him until the end of the next day until he was able to go see the car. By the time he got there the NYC Dept of Sanitation had already picked up the car. The next day he went down to the Sanitation Dept but the car was already crushed. Back in those days if you wanted to junk a car all you had to do was pull of the plates and leave it in the street and Sanitation would pick it up. Years later my friend was talking to Harry Wesch. Harry told him that his car was the only GTO that Myrtle motors had ever supertuned in that way as they concentrated more on Firebirds. To this day my friend still has the Ram Air II motor and 4-speed in storage.

I know somebody who could use them if he ever wanted to sell.

Andy:
Please ask your friend if he has any paper work from the car and if he would get you the Vin off the block, block date and if the heads have the 96 code.

It would be good to atleast document another even if it is dead.

Brian

Super Groovy VooDoo Deucer

They are falling from the skies !

My pop-blocker and email settings caused me to overlook some recent PM's i need to respond back to soon as possible.

One was about a member who has found a guy that owns a Black 4spd Deuce with White interior. He is going to try to get the owner to share some history / details on the car.
Not a for sale item.

Wonder if Paul still has the Black/Black Deuce he was going to share documents on ?

Will look back through and update totals in next day or two.
Unless someone else gets a chance first.
Been so long i can't even remember what the last car was or the standing count.
Think it was the Red-Black-Black 4spd car ?

Are there still only 4 Automagic cars identified out of the 47 produced?

Congratulations there Chief!

The new Voodoo car is a stick, Paul's black magic is a stick, Redrum in Michigan is an automagic car.

Just re-read and responded to the PM about Black Deuce.
Not Paul's car.

Potential #16

Black - Black V.Top - White Interior - 4spd
located Way out Westward
further details may or may not be shared with us - have to wait and see.
Very private owner.

6 out of the 11 Hardtops are VooDoo Green.
Green has been around forever - will never really understand why it was so popular in 68 and 69 . Just never will . lol

My dad's best friend ordered a 69 Judge new - Green.
