I have a friend that runs Super Street with a 632 BB and nitrous that runs 7.30's on a 10.5" tire. What does that have to do with the price of tea?
So, you're not coming up? I guess you're nothing but hot air then......But then again, that's what this whole post was about from the get go, wasn't it. I'm like heaven, everybody wanna get to me......... |

Badbird is a good freind of mine, hell,I was in the other lane watching him go flying by.Car is legit,is what he says it is.NO NITROUS!!It also ran two 129`s and change as the nite went on.The weather that nite at Cecil County was below sea level and I`m sure that played a part,I was up almost 2 mph myself.DA was verified by a racer that also "does the weather"and has a 160mph 302cid motor, but since some of you guys never saw it, it must be bull**** too, right?
Joe,I can understand your skepticism, you`ve obviously been racing for a long time and have seen alot of combos in your day,but this is for real, and I hope with similar air and tuning it will go even faster. Goatman I see why you refuse to believe it,E-heads,EFIand 14to 1? You don`t need all that to go low 10`s,just 30 year old iron heads and a street intake.Oh yeah, your "chassis" needs to be sorted out, right.Plug 1000 less feet into your almighty calculator and see how fast you "should" be going. It went that fast.Get over it. Now,can anyone offer any usable input to the man`s question? What about another intake? |

GPZ, I see you're as much of a scholar as your buddy. 10.62 @ 128 with a 474 and RAIV's and a carb in 2001. I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Your friend is full of it.
EFI makes power? Really? Do tell..... Its an induction choice, get over it. What you and the other jealous crybabies here don't seem to get is that I run EFI because I want to. No other reason. The real issue here is jealousy and money, or those with lack of it. If you and your buddy think it was a lot of money to run EFI, I'm not the one with the problem. But, then again, I never was....... I have 15 passes on my motor. 21 on my entire car. How long have you two einstiens been playing? Who's faster again? I forget. And that's all that matters, baby. You two must be the type that goes up to the tower complaining that you just got beat by a BB Chevy and its not fair becuase their motor is cheaper to build. Grow up children. Its getting old now. Bring it, or just stay on the porch. I'm like heaven, everybody wanna get to me......... [This message was edited by Goatman on October 14, 2003 at 09:19 PM.] |

I've seen his car, taken pictures of it, and talk to him personally. But since my car only runs 11's, I'm not worthy enough to talk to you.

GPZ - You ran next to Birdman and I ran at the track last week when Goatman did. And what he said is true, his chassis needs to be sorted out. His car was hooking waaaayyyy to the right among other things.

Badbird68; car looks great, performance is excellent.
2 things: "12 bolt 3.55's 28 X 10.5 e.t. streets stock leaf springs and slapper bars. shift at 5800 go through traps at 5950 - 6000" Perhaps you try working the the 1-2 downward to 5500RPM, 2-3 upshift at 5200RPM AND GO QUICKER!! Would you be interested in evaluating my Torker I (ports are taller, lowered, and wider, Inlet is hogged to unshroud, and will work super with the 1"spacer) to see about going the same or quicker? I am just posting this as a comparison.
462, #16 DPorts that were opened up all the way (275 cfm), no epoxy, 12.5:1 CR, .645" Lunati roller, Warrior, 2" spacer, 1050 Dominator, 2" Hedmans with mufflers, TH400 with a brake, 9" 4500 Select convertor, 4.11s, 29.5 x 11.5W. Launch at 4000, shifted at 6400, traps at 6400. See my sig below for times and weight. Also, this was my best time with this combo because the air was perfect. Like I said, this is just for comparisons. I still have this motor. It is now my spare to my new Ehead combo 73 Firebird (Old combo) 462 D-Port, 3250 lbs. Best ET: 9.93 @ 133 mph (New combo) 477 E-head, 3200 lbs. Best ET (so far): 9.54 @ 140 mph

Without 60' data, I sit and wonder about the 29.5" and 4.10's. If I guess 1.43 60 foots, then I would suggest you coulda retire and regear to 3.55 & 28" and sustain the same performance. Great performance despite my preference to see 3-series gears and lower shift points. Sorry, 60' were in the 1.36 - 1.38 range. 4.11 are the lowest numerical gear ratio I can get in a Pro gear for a 12 bolt. So I had to work my tire combo around that.
