It is all about the Pontiac V8 engine. There is my AA/Fuel dragster, the Turk/Cox/.Baswell Pontiac Fueler, Jess Tyree's early Firebird funny car, also have 66 lemans all glass body from the day and the only known complete original M/T Hemi Pontiac engine in running condition.
info on museums pages on my site www.pontiacheaven.org
thank you

From a FB page (I think Steve already saw this one), but those that didn't...

Paul Stenquist - Pontiac-powered dragster, "This Time," probably 1968. The engine was built on a Ram Air V block that I bought from Arnie Beswick. The heads were Ram Air 3. The injectors were on an Algon casting with all Enderle parts and pump. My buddies and I made the velocity stacks and zoomies. Compression ratio was 12:1 with forged pistons and aluminum rods. Cam was a Crower roller. Beswick showed me how to o-ring the cylinder heads by siamesing the wire o-rings. But we still had trouble keeping the head gaskets in when running nitro. Best on fuel was 8.75, 187 on a 70% load. Ran gas most often, usually about 9.50, 140. With the lead cranked back to about 30 degrees, it would run 155 on gas, but the ET would go to about 9.90. Transmission was a Torqueflite with manual valve body. Rear end was a '49 Olds with 4.10 cogs. John Keller, at left behind the car, drove it as did another guy, not pictured, named John Bondi. The sailor in the middle who helped me build it and worked with me for years is Leon Begonia. And that's me (Paul Stenquist) on the right, at about 20 years of age. Good times.

Back in the early seventies my best friend's uncle, Lowell Lister, was partners with Joe Jacona. Running the Brief Encounter, they stopped at my friends house In Joppatown MD, on the way to match race Jungle Jim at Cecil County Dragway. Before the Brief Encounter Lowell had an interesting car called the "Sidwinder", and Joe drove it. Apparently the car still exists and has been restored.

In case my order of posts seem misleading, The Joe Jacona "Rollin Stoned" car came after the "Brief Encounter" partnership.

Due to foot surgery in late November, I've had a lot of free time to surf the net. I researched the Breif Encounter, having seen it in person in the seventies.

Cool FIREBALL ROBERTS...

I'm sure this has been posted on here somewhere,
but while surfing at the MCG site I saw this and thought it was well worth a revise;
