77TRASHCAN,
I did too. In the country. Had about 50 customers. Delivered on my bike unless I could con my dad or mom into taking me around. Finally gave it up when the daily papers became more prevelant. Late 50's early '60's. Got a picture to go with it though I am not a home to scan and post.

Okay now. Back to the topic on hand.

PICTURES.

Here's a photo of yours truly next to my uncle's 1946 Plymouth Coupe. He owned that car until 1957 when he bought a Catalina. Taken around 1949, check out the Ford Club Coupe in the background.

Even the gas pump looks old.

I have a photo of the Mcdonald's in my hometown of High Point NC, taken in 1970. There is a 69 GTO Judge in the photo.

Limesjudge69, can you e-mail the picture to mstaley2@triad.rr.com?

I was born in High Point, lived on Gordon Rd until moving to Jamestown--about 7 miles. I work in High Point now. I know the whereabouts of a RAIV Judge automatic sold at the HP dealer--still with its original equipment. It would be nice to have a good version of the picture.

thanks

I bet hamburgers at McDonald's were 25 cents in 1970. I remember in 1967 they were 15 cents. The first McDonald's I ever went to was in Ithica, NY.... on our way to the '67 Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.

Oh man, I forgot about those stickers, had not thought about them for years! I had a ton of them stuck to the door to my bedroom back in the day! I cant recall what the Rat Fink stickers were called, or how they came, maybe they were sold like baseball cards.

What about Wacky Packages? Similar to the Rat Fink stickers, but parodies of products, see the attached. Had a ton of those too...

We must be about the same age..............

I bought one of those wind up gliders not long ago for my boys. The rubber band was cheaper then it was in the 60's.

Those stickers were called, "Odd Rods", "Odder Odd Rods", "Silly Cycles" and a few series came out later, but the Odd Rods were the first. I still have all of mine in plastic sheets that baseball cards normally go in. I had them in a box in the attic until one day I realized that I should get them out. They came in a pack with 3 in a pack I believe and a thin sleeve of gum I think. I never chewed the gum--just collected the cards. Here is their site: http://www.oddrods.com/

I remember those..never would have known what they were called. Never would have thought of them if you hadn't posted that. The ones I had were not stickers though, they were cardboard. I just looked at some online and they're still funny!
I even found one specific one that I remember having.... Breadcrust Corned Beef Hash....lol

those odd rod cards sure bring back alot of memories. i still have a bunch of them in a box somewhere.
they have some really cool pontiacs in them, however a few are messed up. like the one that says gee-tee- o it is a 68 era barracuda and the one that says trans am is a superbird or dodge daytona.
