Wow!! I just realized that I made the 1,000th post in this thread. I guess that means I won the grand prize; an all expense paid trip to my painter's shop to see my car. And, it is good for one year so I don't have to be in a big rush!!

You're wrong, it's a free trip to anger management classes.

Still nothing from my painter! But, Pete Serio e-mailed me that my gauges were ready so I should have them by the end of next week. And, I am dealing with a couple other people on some A/C parts and an AM radio.
I'll be sure to post pics of the gauges when I get them.

Pete sent the gauges out today and I should get them Monday. I think I know why my car hasn't been painted yet. It's waiting on me to get a spot ready for it. I don't think it will fit in my shop right now.

Looks as crowded as my garage, Just be careful to keep stuff away from the car... I have two in my garage and last week a rake slipped from it's holder and managed to put two small gashes in a perfect paint job! I nearly passed out. LOL

Better safe than sorry.

Phil, looks like you have the same condition I have....TMS.
By the way, didn't you just build that garage?

I built the garage in 1999. I had a 57 Chevy wagon and my 65 GTnO in it at the same time. Now, I can barely get my lawnmower in there!
I just poured an 8x12 pad on the side of the shop Tuesday that I am going to enclose. It should hold all my lawn equipment. There is some stuff in the shop I need to get rid of, like the old Jenn-Air stove and some work tables I built for a project.
I hope to get the addition finished by next weekend.

Yep! I got the block laid today and found out real quick that I am not a mason! It took me all day to lay 15 blocks! But, I had to cut 3 and relay the first 6 a second time to get them level.
Now, if I can bend the sill plate to match the bow in the blocks I'll be home free!!

MY PAINTER CALLED!!!!!! That's all. He just called to say the car was not painted. But, they are working on it. I have a side bet as to whether he will have it painted before I draw my first Social Security check in November!
Other than that, I haven't done anything else. My gauges should be here tomorrow and I will post pics when I get them. Pete said they looked good.

Phil, you should have taken a stone mason class, built a paint booth and taken a body and fender class. That way you could have graduated and painted the car yourself by now.

I'm not too sure I couldn't still do it! But, everything seems to be coming together. I'll have the addition built and the shop cleaned out by next weekend, Good Lord willing. Then I can start laying out my parts and seeing how much I will need to put the car back together.
I may change my name to Job!

I got my gauges back from Pete Serio today. All I can say is if the rest of the car looks half as good I'll be satisfied. Here are some before and after pics.

Those gauges look great! I'm planning on sending mine to Pete when I get closer to the end... Glad to hear your project is on track... Don't fret, painters always take forever. Personally, I'd rather not rush them and let them do it right the first time...

I have made up my mind! If my painter is not through with the car by the end of July I am going to bring it home! I will have to wait a little while but I will take it to a local painter that said his shop would finish it.
I won an auction on E-bay for a 67 AM radio and am well pleased with it. There is no pitting in the chrome, the knobs work and the indicator moves when the buttons are pushed. However, I do not know if it works because I don't have a 10 ohm speaker tp hook up to it. I am working on getting one.
Here are the latest totals adding the mirror I purchased from Andre, the radio and the final payment on my gauges. That came to $1,170.99.

My Labor @449 hrs.................$8,890.00
Parts .................................$14.054.95
Outside Labor .......................$9,611.00
Gifts ...................................$2,791.25

Total .................................$35,437.20

Yep... Seems it a little past "helping" you out at this point. Bummer things have to take this long.

I keep telling myself to be patient, that things will work out for the best but I don't listen to me much!!
I forgot to add a picture of the radio so here it is. The picture doesn't do it justice though.
