We drove 2 hours up to Idaho to watch it. Nice clear day. The temperature dropped about 20 degrees as it progressed. The sky looked eerie as the light dimmed, and you could look off to the east and the sky was bright, but if you looked west you could see the darkness approaching. It was really cool when it got dark. It was worth the 7.5 hour drive home in traffic.
