Wheels and tires
Centerline Lazer II polished 17 x 8 fronts w/ 4” backspacing Centerline Lazer II polished 17 x 10 rears w/ 5” backspacing Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, 245-45-17 and 285-40-17 Picture with tire under rear of car is a BFGoodrich radial T/A is a 295-50-15, but shows what a 285 would look like. |

Here is my '67 Tempest. It has 275/60-15 Cooper Cobra's on 15x8 wheels with 5.5" backspacing on the rear. 215/65-15 Cooper Cobra's on 15x7 wheels with 4.5" b.s. on the front. No engine/tranny in the car, it will sit pretty low. It is on Hotchkis front springs and Jeep TJ rear springs.

Man that early bird looks good! Are those the polished wheels or is the center light silver? Can you get those in 15's 9" wide?

Here are pics of my 70 GTO. 15 x 8"(4.5" backspace) rim in back 15 x 7"(4" backspace) rim in front. The car is a 455 car so, it has the 12 bolt rearend in it withoriginal suspension. I am not sure if anyting was changeed on the front end. Tires size 255/70/15 (rear) 245/60/15 (front)

I also replaced the rear with a 12 bolt 3.07 posi from a 72 GTO and added a sway bar a few months ago. No change to the stance but the new combination is perfect- on the street it hooks better than my 06 GTO. I haven't tried it at the strip... yet. Pic was taken before the rear end swap.

A fellow PY member just posted this link in the 68-69 GTO tech section. It provides specs for all of the stock Pontiac wheel codes. Figured it would be a good reference here.
