Interesting, i didn't know Edelbrock moved the valves on those heads. So i assume they need a new shaft rocker system so rockers/valves stay in alignment?

I would think you would want the valve tip lined up with the center of the roller tip on the rocker?
I had no idea the valves were moved or how much they were moved. Any info what was moved (intake or exhaust or both) and how much?

Sorry for the hijack

You're asking me questions you should be asking Edlebrock. Not enough to cause alignment problems for the rocker shaft i know that ..

I thought you were questioning the fact that they flow 20 CFM across the board better then drags heads ? Whats with all the other questioning? If you call Edlebrock they will give you all the info you're asking me...

I tell you what . Dave does good work . I saw them up close!

Ok.... ill bite.

The exhaust valve was moved 0.060-inch farther away from the intake valve, which resides in the stock loacationThe spread allows for the installation of a oversided intake valve. This was done in 2012 , you should know this stuff !

Where does it say they moved the exhaust .060 in 2012?
It states the spacing is 2.030. So there is .020 between the valve sizes you listed. Thanks for the info, appreciate your help.

Just more math ☺️
Funny I get made fun of (by internet experts with no turbo or centrifugal experience)when I suggest that bore stroke being ideal for our Pontiacs.(actually 4.255 bore is better cause then it's a 455 lol). Besides better cyllinder seal it's less side loading without excessive peak piston speed. NA go ahead with bigger bore. Still personally would like to use rpm to replace stroke NA but to each his own I guess.

So now the question is did edelbrock move the ex an additional .010 with the redesigned chamber or is that 2.030 a typo on their website. Again thx for the info you shared. And again sorry to 69Goat1 for the hijack

You're saying Jim is right like im wrong. He said noting different then i said..

Point is they flow 20CFM better , I say you seem to be questioning . That which has nothing to do with if or how much the valve was moved and it needing a different rocker shaft when it doesnt...
