To me, it's the fender reminding me of the respect it once held, it was actually on a original Ram Air IV car, the two fenders might be all that is left of that car. I got the front end with the Lemans Sport. The hood was rusted to bad to repair so the fenders are the only thing I saved.
I plan to make some Mustangs respect that fender.......

Respect, hell yeah. Maybe put a little fear in them as well.

Started on the Endura today. This is the best of the two I have and it needs some tender loving care..
I've only done one Endura, so if anyone has tips, I like to learn...

Bert,

There used to be a guy on this board (PaulatFast) that was great with all kinds of body work advice. Here is a link to his 'recipe' for endura bumpers. Hope it helps.

My endura was done in 2012 using the process in that thread. Mine was rough and had some areas delaminating around the bumper jack holes. I sandblasted off the old finish and filler from a repair done previous to me owning the car and I cut those delaminating areas free about 2 inches from either side of the jack hole, rolled back the endura, sand blasted it clean, installed some 3M flexible filler (5887, I think) and clamped it back into place. We used the SPI finishes that Paul recommended with great success. After nearly 5 years, the bumper still looks like the day we painted it.

If you have any reservations or concerns, give Barry Kives a call at SPI. He is a wonderful person to speak with on the phone and will help you out anytime.

I have been working on this Endura. It seems most of the cracks wre in the paint material on it and not the Endura

I am going to have to send one back because the face color is wrong, but I spent some time today mounting these and hooking them up today.

Got the gauges back from Speedhut. They did a great job. All that is left now is getting the hood tach worked out.

Meanwhile its bodywork, sanding, blocking, more sanding and more blocking... I really dislike bodywork

Hey Bert, I have been following your progress and I am in awe. That 65 is gorgeous and your 72 already is looking awesome. Any idea when you will have it done?

Thanks, The 65 has been a blast to drive. When I was building it I didn't do the detail work that I am doing on the 70. I look at the 65 as a driver basically. I know it sounds weird but I will drive it anywhere.
The 70 though is getting all the good parts..Its the spoiled child of the bunch..but I intend to drive it too.
As far as when it will be done. I'm hoping to get it painted in the next month or two. All the power window fab work and all the 2006/1970 fab work is done. so then its just a bolt together thing.
Then I will move to stereo and interior.
I'm hoping its out beating the crap out of mustangs this spring/summer
