I'd love to hear more about the wideport build when you get that far.

Made up of used/spare parts mostly. Should be a fun/interesting build. I'll start a new thread once i get further along with it.

Truth.

Darin Morgan just went to work at BES this week.

Simple airflow capacity should never be the first consideration in evaluating cylinder heads. Characteristics that are far more important include air speed, port cross-section, port volume and shape, and the relationship between the size of the throat and the valve seat.
IMO knowing most of these variables are also important to cam an engine well.

What brand is the dyno? If it’s a dynojet it will make 600. If it’s a Mustang dyno probably less.

Wish there were stock appearing head bolts with the studs for these heads.

How did you create the casting #s? If that's in this post somewhere sorry, I missed it.

Paul, did you use JB Weld to make the numbers on those aluminum heads? If so, any tips/pointers on how you made it look so nice?

No JB weld.... Lots of patience and thank you for the "so nice" part.

I'm with ya, studs like OEM on a few of the bolts would be wonderful, so I could hook up battery cables, support brackets for certain air cleaners, battery cable tubes, and some of the sheet metal heat riser shields that I use.

Wouldn't be all that difficult for them to come up with something like that.

You could use the factory studded bolts in those locations.

Great numbers,
that 69 GP should really scoot.
Is it an auto or manual car? How is the idle quality and vacuum at idle?
Again, Very Impressive wide band power.

It should actually get decent mpg..depending on carb tune car weight and gearing.

I believe one way is to buy plastic numbers the size you want/ need, then impress them in clay type epoxy after you have coated them with mold release agent, and allow the epoxy to harden,

After that remove the plastic letters and then coat the mold you just made with the release agent , and use ciramic epoxy to fill the mold.

After that hardens now you have the numbers or letters you need, just use the ciramic epoxy to put them where you want.

Im fairly certain Paul doesn't go through all that work.
If you want it done give Paul call he can hook you up. I know quite a few guys have shipped heads to him for him to do this type stuff. He even has a more extensive process to make outside look even more stock. And while he has the heads he can tune up the ports if you wish
