Captainofiron, We use Pro-E.

Chris, the runners are about 3.750" . What I have planned and still in the design stages. Is to make a bottom and top plate that will extend the runners to accommodate the application. Another idea would be to make tubes to extend the runners and build a top to house them. Kind of like what Throttle did in the Engine Masters Challenge. Of course that's probably only going to work with fuel injection ?????

I'm kinda planning to do that for a customer with that manifold but... Haven't given it much thought yet.

2-3 inches longer seem feasible?

Don, I have been looking around online and I came across INDY Cylinder Heads, and they make many different intake manifolds, called 'MOD MAN'. Dyno pulls and racers comment about them and how well they work on small Mopar engines as well as the large stroker Mopar engines. Interesting reading for combinations wanting to fit under factory hoods.

I seen that to Rick. That intake is basically like mine and the Mopar guy's seem to really like it.

Chris, Depends on how clever you get, but I do think so. Keep in mind too that my intake runner is longer overall compared to a stock head by about an inch.

Don, below are a few pictures of Indy Cylinder Heads 'Mod Man' intake manifolds.
Just like your Ram Air V intake Manifold base, it shows how flexible your intake really is, for 4 bbl., Tri-Power, Dual Quads, Blowers, and EFI setups ,as well as an intake Top like Throttle Performance used on their Pontiac.

Those intakes look cool for show cars but they are way off the mark for low to mid range performance street engines.... And way off for BBM

The compromises we need to make so everyone can keep their stock hood. I have to be honest though. When we measured the runner lengths of some of the other leading brands compared to mine, they are not to much longer. As a matter of fact some of them are shorter. So in reality for someone wanting to maximize their combo. They should really consider building a sheet metal intake and making it what it needs to be.

I wasn't really referring to your intake, just the ones referenced for the Mopar crowd.

Sorry Chris if I sounded like I was directing that at you. I agree with you about the Mopar intake. I actually designed my intake before I even knew about Indy's and someone pointed it out to me. When I get to start playing with my design I hope to have several different top and bottom plates to offer. If you look close at my intake you can see I intentionally made the plenum area a little deeper than the runners. I did that with intentions of making a bottom plate to extend the runners for whatever the application calls for. I'm just not there yet with the design so I don't talk about it much yet.

I was looking at a casting of yours the other day. That head is very impressive. I don't know if you're familiar with the Ford stuff or not, but I call it the SBF Pro King head of pontiacs. Very cool... lots of opportunity in it. I predict big things in the future.

Thanks for the Kudos Chris!!!!! I really think that my DCI RA 5 heads will take Pontiac's to the next level, but then again I designed it LOL.

It's not a stretch at all to claim it.
