I mean he does give you a hefty discount to let him keep the wheels. I still question if an El Camino of that vintage is worth 10k. For whatever reason they always seemed to lag behind their same body sisters. You can get a 70 El Camino for significantly cheaper than a 70 Chevelle. And that one certainly isn't a 70.

I usually like wagons, even crusty old survivors, but that one doesn’t do it for me. We had just a straight ‘69 Impala wagon when I was a kid that I remember looking cooler than this one. Nice engine to have though

I like the “four door for sale. Open to trades - NO FOUR DOORS!” line.

Looks like a HUGE money pit.

I like it! I have a soft spot for wagons, having grown up in them, and this one is cool as hell.

There is one just like it in the GM Heritage collection: http://s18.postimg.cc/6231dv9tl/untitled.png

I grew up in wagons but the only Chevys we had were a '54 and a '66. The '66 we had from 1968-73 and then upgraded to a '70 Ford. As a developing Old Chevy nut when I was in junior high, I would have loved to had that '69 Kingswood in our garage as I entered high school. Took my driver's license test in the Ford with a 390 under the hood. It's a sentimental memory now but how much cooler it would have been if I'd took it with that Kingswood with factory 427.

The one in the CL ad is showing evidence of being rodded on, so that brings the desirability factor down a bit for me. For the right price, I'd still love to have it.
Of all the post war Chevy wagons, I think the 69-70 are my favorite.

If I lived closer I would be all over the Mercury. That is a lot of car for the $$ and seems very well done

And the tires don't fit 'right' either. They have the 'wrong' low profile, circle burner dimensions instead of the high profile super speedway type used on the tracks where Pearson made his reputation.
