You have to pole vault to get in that 442.

Anyone know who this is? That Tri-Power with the finned air cleaners is cool.

That may be the most ridiculous looking car I've ever seen... I'm pretty sure it is...

Looks like you could probably save that flasher and plug it into a new GTO and call it restored!

I can’t even imagine how much one of those wheels weighs. Also - I’d bet those ultra low profile 30 inch tires cost a fortune.

Thankfully, that fad seems to be over. As witness to the $5500.00 asking price. The shop that built our funny car chassis did 3 or 4 of those cars for the Detroit Pistons players 10-12 years ago. At the time, RWD Monte Carlos, Cutlass, Grand Prix were the cars of choice to ruin. Those guys spent stupid money making them look like that. I mean really stupid! Like six figure stupid! Always left the engines mechanically stock. 2 barrel carbs, Buick V-6's, didn't matter. Chrome them up and let em roll.

Price seems a bit high for a clapped out Formula without it's original powertrain or hood...
This car just screams "poor life decisions." https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...834756896.html

He says it was a Brewster Green car, so that's something at least.

Loving this. I've ridden an RD350. This one is pre-Kenny Roberts.

Great little bike, I owned an RD350 and RD400 Daytona in the 70's. Raced one in an endurance race in the rain in New Hampshire in the 2000's.
20 years ago my shop was full of vintage bikes and the GTO was being ignored. |
