Jeff does a great job with what he has on his limited budget.

He has a lot of laps on his car and scienced out pretty well.

We should be faster this weekend then last so we will see. I'm just slowly creeping up on it.

Did you get your new high dollar transmission yet so we can watch Slowbird drag your four link/ ladder bar car down the track?

Yea........I do everything wrong.......tire pressure......degreeing the camshaft........tighen the blower belt too tight BUT all I do is go round (sometimes winning), almost never break (if your racing you are gonna breaking), car is consistent and Quick (quicker then 95% of the Pontiacs out there)! So yep you're right I'm stupid ......or maybe I just know something YOU don't!!! LOL!

GTO George

I started this thread because a bunch of cool Pontiacs are going racing.

I made no excuses.

Jeff does a great job.

Stan

PS - There is like a 20% change that I will be able to drive down on Saturday. From Philadelphia which way is better, I 95 and I 97 or I 95 and 301?
Stan,

Last time I went to Capitol (from NC), I drove up north of Baltimore to visit family after racing. When I left the track, I took 301 north, to 97, to 695 (Francis Scott Key Bridge) to 95 north. If you reverse the order It might be a good route for you driving down from the North.

As far as numbers go, everything can be explained through math, I wish I understood half of it.

You Midwest guys should travel out east one fall and come race here.

The down hill tracks and 1300' quarter mile, mineshaft air, along with the Unicorn piss we use for traction compound, you guys will pick up at least two tenths.

Would that help a keyboard type faster?

If one doesn't race and one picked up two tenths how fast would ones car be?

It is tempting! We get decent to good air/da end of Oct but the traction usually sucks then (very cold track temps).

Gotta go to Byron! It's a bad fast track in November.

You told me that before and I had to pull about 18° out just to make it through the first 60ft, kind of hard to set a personal best that way.

Well lets see,
1) He broke the snout off of a Moldex crankshaft. DOH!
Brian H and George cracked their cranks at the snout location.
Both were fixed by Moldex and in both cases the word was they had the belt too tight.

Tire Pressure: Anyone can add air to a tire, Putting the right amount of air in the tire is open for debate.
Most posts in that thread suggested that George was running the wrong air pressure.
EGO would not let him admit that maybe some other racers were trying to help him on that one.

Degreeing the Cam: If you have to ask the question or make excuses for not doing it,
pretty much needs no further words on that one.

Two quotes I remember, and I remember a lot of things about a lot of subjects:

1) "CAN'T FIX STUPID." 2) "IF" IS THE MOST USED WORD IN DRAG RACING".
