Glad to have them. If you are going faster now with the Visners and only one kit vs two that really is saying something. Its a badd b!tch.

Likely straight light weight stuff. I work with the Valvoline crew and they have a lot of test data on friction/pumping reduction, clutch/band wear, and metal wear in autos. I'd be happy to ask if you think it would help. I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I'm being serious for once in a row.

Red Line Shockproof in the rear housing anybody? is thin like water. 80/90w turns hp into heat.

I actually run 50/50 mix of Redline Light weight/ Heavy weight shock proof per Redlines recommendation. Stuff sticks to the gears well and gears looked new after a full season.

I’m just kidding on the tractor fluid, I have used it in the past but this converter is just too loose. It had 15% slippage at the eighth and only drop 400 on the shift. I put the new converter in last Saturday but probably will not get out this weekend.

I suspect B&M is something else in a different jug but who knows.
I'll be out tomorrow with any luck and I don't keel over. Quote:

I'm with you. I've not run an automatic car until the latest Ventura. I've not studied it much but the guys I know that study this stuff at length come back to Type F as their starting point. I wished I knew more, I've not run an automatic until now.

Those 300HP industrial compressors use ATF, 60 gallons at a time. We run the "cheap" red auto grade ATF for initial run in after major work is done. Then run it for 100 hours, thats all you get out of it. Then switch to full synthetic Rodgers Machinery oil that is clear and 2,000$ a barrel. It lasts several months vs the red stuff that lasts a week. I have thought about giving the clear synthetic a try in my tranny but never heard of anyone doing it. Then I would have to get the boss to OK me taking a 2 1/2 gallon container. Always wondered about it, you would think it could do the job . Its a little bit thicker when you pour it and clear as a bell. |
