The "PONTIAC" emblem on the '66 and "67 wagons are all one piece and not seperate letters like the 2 and 4 doors

This blue one is a race car that was at VA. Motorsport Park in 2010 that has been featured in HPP and you can find in a couple of runs cleaning house on You Tube.

This isnt the outside of the car of course, but here is one I found of the gear vendors being installed before the exhaust went back in.

Thanks Jeff. I like that picture better than the one I took. Which car there was yours? Was it the Blue Tempest Sprint? That is a really nice car.

The other problem besides the redline being different between the V8 & 6 cylinder tachs is the reading is going to be off. the V8 tachs count 4 sparks as a revolution & the 6 cylinder tachs count 3 sparks as a revolution. Using an 8 cylinder tack on a 6 will give you a low RPM reading. Some aftermarket tachs have settings so you can use them on 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines.

Tach used was a '66 GTO tach can't say for sure how much lower the RPM reading would be but sure seemed close. There are plug in units that can be used to adjust the reading and or you could mod the V8 circuit/capacitor. Knowing what the V8 Tach were worth back then I did not mess with it.
Back to wagon Talk; Here's one that I almost overlooked, and IMO is even rarer. An OHC 6 '68 wagon. Not a 4BC, but great wagon/lines in '68.

I find it interesting that PMD used the OHC 6/1 BBL as the base engine on these wagons. In 67, one could only get the base OHC 6, OHC 6/4BBL, or 326/2BBL engine options. I would like to know the engine breakdown as I see more V8's in the wagons than the 6's. I have attached the production numbers for the OHC 6/4BBL that was provided when I purchased it. I was told it came from Fred Simmons. Out of 13,330 total Tempest wagons produced, only 155 had the OHC 6/4BBL engine option. (0.012%)

A Tempest 2 door wagon would be a super find.

If you look at the quarter panels at the end where they meet the tail lights, they still resemble a 66 Lemans & GTO. Just taller. Ill even bet the bumper is the same.

Sure would, since none were ever made in 66-67

You've gotta love these old wagons. Gary mentioned a two door wagon & as Jeff said they didn't make any in '66 or '67. I almost bought a '56 Safari 2 door wagon back in the day, but the deal fell through. I still wish I had gotten that car! Looking at the pictures, it appears that the rear bumpers from '66 & '67 are different only in the type of back up lights they have. The '66s were round like the '66 GTOs & the '67s were rectangular like the '67 GTOs.

Heres a couple of pics of the 4 bbl automatic 67 wagon I used to own. It is a Fremont built car gold and gold. It also had a 3:55 gear and ride and handling package.
