Tom, you forgot "Pro Mod" with "steamrollers".
I got a kick out of whoever Mike was ripping on at any given time. Vast majority of the time he was right. Made me laugh.
I seen a guy with a BBF, door car go .6.88 @212 with a 8-71.

Hey Dragncar, everyone was complaining that the Race Section was too boring.

Just trying to keep everyone from going to sleep and give "The Idiot" as Mike would say a few shots to make everyone happy.

That being said, IF George can sell his 8-71 on the board and step up (like other belt guys have done), George WILL be in the 7s for sure at some point.
I believe that if Jim were closer to George, George would already be there.

My 8-71 is what it is ........a nice blower if you want only 9-12 on a 500+ cubed engine, it'll make a GREAT street blower! I want a little more, a newer more efficient blower would do it. My engine again is a mild Bracket engine built by KRE to go rounds be consistent and not break (to often). I'll match my car and engine next to any car weighing in at 3,200 lb and running 9-11 lbs of boost with a same 8-71 roots blower........apples to apples! Just saying!! FYI I've seen 500 cubed NA cars run 6.70's.......hell 6.50's in 80 degree weather!

wreckmastr- thanks for the list. And thanks to everyone for noting other seven-second door cars... and, of course, Curt's six-second ride.
Was Maurice's car a door-slammer?

You do have a nice 8-71 blower set-up. Looked at your deal several times.
You always spent the money with BDS on good parts. You just need a bit more Mass Flow and you are there. Someone would be getting some good parts if they decide to step and buy your deal.

Hope you sell your supercharger stuff and can get the larger Supercharger and maybe the RA-V stuff from Don that you like.

Interested also if if was accomplished N/A or power adder.

And if we want to get feisty, what heads.

Since Marty went in the 6's 20 yrs ago with a D port that flowed 280cfm, 7's now days shouldn't be much other then a great combo and a fair amount of money.
If its lite it will be even easier.

With enough money, nearly anything is possible.

On this "list" of 7 second (and faster) door cars, I'm only aware of 1 that is not boosted/sprayed...

How many/who achieved it WITHOUT a power adder?

1. Mike Leech

A roller skate is a Dragster...... no Dragsters on that list only Door Cars! I'm pretty sure non of those cars ran in 40-50 degree temps to run a seven. I'm more of a same day, same track kind of guy. Some racers run fast elsewhere bring them to the same track, same day and they can't produce.

Racing on the street or an un-preped track is just suicide.....place and simple. Racing a 1000- 2000 hp car on the street is plain STUPID!
FYI......I race on an up-prepped track all the time, my home track is Milan Dragway.........they never prep! LOL!
